About Me

I am a protector at heart, and I get great joy in helping clients find satisfactory resolutions to routine and unexpected challenges.  I have a strong desire to see you thrive and function optimally.  Working as a people helper has been my goal since high school, and I can honestly say that I love my work.  My mission is to support you with integrity and skill.

I am a wife and mother, having the pleasure of being married to my high school sweetheart for over twenty years. We've enjoyed doing life together and raising our three incredible children.  Because I've found great comfort and peace in my own marriage and family life, I'm extremely passionate about helping individuals and couples learn and practice skills that focus on what matters most.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia working primarily with adults and couples. I received both my Master of Social Work degree and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am a certified facilitator and trainer of the Prepare/Enrich program that focuses on building strong marriages and healthy relationships.  For over 10 years, I've worked with a wide variety of clients including children, teenagers, adults, and groups.

I use a practical integrated approach and customize evidence-based counseling techniques to meet unique client needs. With Family Systems as my therapeutic foundation, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.  Faith-based counseling is an option as my perspective on life and human behavior has been significantly shaped by my Christian worldview.
